M1 goes to 4 lanes
Subject to weather conditions, the M1 J10 to 6A will be opened to four lanes in phases during next week still running at 50mph. It is then planned to increase the speed limit to 70mph along the whole length overnight on 19th December 2008.
Amazing, the 10 mile section of the M1 finishes on time while the 1 mile upgrade of Airport Way is currently 1 year late with the latest completion date now April 2009. Lets not forget that both projects were started mid 2006.
