Check this one out, seems BA cant talk either about loosing bags. If you are going to have a jab at bmi at least get your baggage dept running first before saying stuff about good old BD. Eat your words BA. Yes BD are last I am not getting away from that fact.
BA hasn't been having a jab at anybody. The press got these statistics from the published AEA figures for April-October. As LHR27C says, the BA stats for this period are skewed by the problems in the opening weeks at T5.

BA released statistics for November, showing 12 lost bags per 1000 customers to put the April-October figures into context and show the gradual improvement in T5's operations.

Credit where credit is due, T5 has resulted in a massive step-change in BA's performance in punctuality and baggage handling.
