So what would be a valid input to the development plan?

Personally, I think an alignment for a potential light rail line should be preserved. I'm not saying to build it; current passenger numbers can't justify that. But I do think creating a corridor where nothing else could be built should be put in place.

Does the plan extend out as far as Farmer's Cross?

I would have thought the land to the North-East of the roundabout at the entrance to the airport might warrant being looked at as a location for future independently provided long-term parking and possibly a relocation of hire-car activities.

Also does it just look at the built environment or do public transport links come into it? I've always thought there was a case for extending the number 6 bus to the airport, both to facilitate travellers from the Douglas area and to facilitate the large number of airport staff who live around Grange. At the moment people in those areas have to get into the city centre to get a bus back out.
