Daimler Benz DB 603 Engine Compression Ratios.
A number of years ago I borrowed a book called 'Janes Aircraft Engines': or suchlike, from our local library.
It stated that the Daimler Benz DB 603 engine had a compression ratio of 7.5 to 1 one the left bank and 7.3 to 1 on the right bank.
I have just looked it up on Wikipedia to find that it states the same figures.
The bore and stroke of the two banks are the same, and the engine has a supercharger, so why is there a difference in compression ratios. ??
