Cork's future

The proposal to extend 17/35 by at least 1,000ft is interesting. However the sharp gradient means that the approach lights will have to be placed on very high pylons and I wonder if this is technically feasible.

There is plenty room for business parks in the Docklands, no need to rezone land which should be kept for future airport related development.

The current business park has been extremely successful but I would question the benefit of locating it within the airport boundary. If the new terminal had been built at this site there would be ample room for extra aircraft stands.

Can anyone say how 16 million pax in 2040 can be accomodated within the present site?

This is at an airport which cannot even accomodate executive jets during the summer months.
