For anyone whom is around and is interested Cork County Council in whose area Cork Airport is situated has an open day tomorrow afternoon between 4 pm and 8 pm at the new Cork Airport International Hotel where county council planners will be presenting proposals on a Cork Airport development plan for the next ten to twenty years. There is talk that renewed attempts are reportedly being made to have airport land rezoned for business parks the outcome of which would seem to suggest that Cork's runway 25/07 would be killed off. I don't see anything on the CCC website or on the information leaflet which suggests the above. Seems like a good process to go through, and hopefully should result in positive developments for Cork Airport, including upgraded transport links and possible support (planning or financial possibly) for major infrastructural enhancements (ie terminal and runway).
