CX is so full of politics that not even the bosses know what is what.
As for flight recruitment, that is a joke. They hire people who are AFRAID to fly (cadets), and recently heard someone was not suppose to pass the physical did so (rumor). I have many friends with english backgrounds and some aeronautical experiences get rejected.
Perhaps you should go and ask Amy and Peggy what is going on. Or better yet, Ms Lucas.
Cathay should have no problems hiring people, if they hire the right ones.
I also have strong belief that what kind of union is IFALPA if what their so called ban is hurting their own union members by not allowing them to apply for the job. I hope the AOA will wake up and smell the coffee. Bygones be bygones.
