to small wing, i hate to bring it to you, but cx will never have only locals crewing all flights. right now cx is having problems recruiting cadets who care and/or know enough about flying (aviation), while being able to speak english well enough to pass icao standards. if you think i'm lying, look into it. even ask amy at cx cadet recruitment. i respect asians flying for cathay. i am asian and i made it as a pilot. but don't be against gweilo flight crew. a safe pilot is a good pilot no mater what backround. especially if he or she loves their company.
