If you still have problems after checking the graphics card then I would again suggest resetting the CMOS, instructions from the Asus support are
here. When you get to this page click <motherboard> then look at both a) motherboard failed to boot up and b) system freezes. The latter has the clear CMOS instructions.
If you still have no joy a bios upgrade is worth doing.
