FYI (For Your Information) "smallmind", here's a quote, from Cathay, regarding some sevices:
"From 1 June, Cathay Pacific's service from Los Angeles to Hong Kong will increase from 7 to 10 flights a week. From 1 July, the airline's service from Vancouver to Hong Kong will rise from 11 to 14 flights a week and flights from San Francisco will switch from being served by an A340-300 to a higher-capacity B747-400."
There are some things that a 747-400 can do that an A340 can't do, like carry 360 passengers. So it will be "phase out", eh?
For every two 747-400's that will be "phase out", we will need 3 A340's, and that means...MORE GWEILO's! Bit of a Catch 22, but then again, "smallmind" you won't know what I'm talking about because "hello kitty" comics haven't brought out a 15-page edition of Catch 22, have they?
