Airbus looks like they had it right in the A300b2b4 and then screwed up from there.
Gonna be some interesting changes in certification requirements I think. Since the controll is set up to guarantee overcontrolling someone has to go up and test fly it to see if the aircraft comes apart. I don't want to be that person.
Interestingly Boeing seams to have recognized the problem during the developement of the 747s and all aircraft after have a much better rudder design. Also interesting that the A320-340s seam to have the same problem. I am guessing that Boeing learned something from that b52 that shed part of its tail.
