USA was full of 9/11 hysteria so the co-pilot had to be blamed.
Egyptair 990 crashed in 1999, 2 years
before 9/11, so '9/11' hysteria did not exist. Suspicions about the co-pilot's actions were mooted well before 9/11, if I remember correctly.
