Have you any figures on this huge amount of money that the MoD spends on the Red Arrows? Isn't much of the cost of running the RAFAT met by sponsorship?
Of course the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq might not have to spend so much time in Snatch Land Rovers if LAND spent a bit more of their budget supporting JHC rather than the various ceremonial units of the British Army.

Perhaps rather than doing the usual 'bitch about the Red Arrows sucking up the budget' thing you can ask why this government can't provide for both considering its all to happy to chuck money at a sinkhole called the NHS, nationalising failed banks, propping up the idle with an all too generous state welfare system and generally spending it on anything but the military that deep down they detest so much.
