Thanks Kotakota for the information. Do you know if Oman Air will be having a class every month starting in Jan 2009 or is it every so often?
What is the training like? Do you go through a full ground school, 4-6 sims, a check, IOE (initial operating experience) and then a line check before you are released. How long did it take you to get on line from the time you joined? Are all the trainers/examiners Omani's? How are they do deal with?
You seem to have a good handle on the situation there. Many of us here in Incredible India are thinking about the ME as an option. Some colleagues have already been forced out by JetAirways.
PS--Housing allowance seems very low for the M.E. My allowance in India is almost double. And the cost of living here is much cheaper.
