If the uninitiated should take anything out of this article, it should be that Monarch (we) have an open and honest flight safety system. Our management have ALWAYS encouraged us to be open without fear of reprisal or recrimination and as long as I can remember have always been at great pains to stress that a decision taken on a dark and dirty night under pressure, can seem a lot different to that taken around a chief pilots table on a monday morning with a cup of coffee.
