Honestly, I don't mean to be a spoil-sport, but you can hear center and approach control sectors all over the world every day that are at least as busy as this one. What's more, most of the other controllers probably use proper phraseology. This cowboy is nothing special.
Keep in mind that, although the gentleman on the recording is controlling live traffic, the gentleman who posted that mp3 is a
virtual ATCer who appears easily impressed. If the poster considers this controller "one of the very best approach controllers," there must be hundreds of "very best approach contollers" out there all over the world. Hell,
I must be "one of the very best approach controllers!"
