A part from the fact that some"hosties" as you call, have a lot higher level of education than many pilots,I don't see why
i shouldn't be sorry for the Ams girls.
they're all very pleasant to fly with.
Ans as per the jet heat comment, ireally take that as a personal insult.
Where do you hide your brain?This is all about saving company money.Is nighstopping crew to cover Ams duty cost effective?no.
and there will be more nightstops.
That money should be saved to keep the company running on a longer term.
from what i understand this is meant to be a short term fix.No good if 3months down the line KLM uk will run out of cash due to a decision taken without considering all the side points.apart from nighstop costs , how about the flexibility the ams base provides?
Not sure how passengers would like a cancelled/delayed flight because there's no crew to operate it.

And anyway, my original post was only meant to express simpathy and support to the AMS girls.
