Unfortunately there has always been an undercurrent of ill feeling towards the regional and baby subsiduries. Different AOCs yes, although regional still uses the BMA callsign I might add! It amazes me how silly grown up people can get when discussing such issues that are going to affect us all.
The likes of MAVERICK1 feel no sense of camaraderie towards his fellow employees within the Midland group. You rather get the impression that some would gleefully enjoy seeing the group broken apart and people other than those in mainline loose their jobs.
As for the Embraerers operating out of Heathrow, they are only there because they represent good financial sense. Or would you prefer to see your Airbuses flying in an out more than half empty? It seems that the presence of the regional arm at Heathrow has been a bitter pill to swallow for some of the hard core out there.
