Not sure about the Sterling DC-8's at LTN as these appeared around 1984 by which time they had moved to STN......
Fond memories too of the hordes of Sterling Caravelle's on Sundays flying over the house on finals in the 1970's. I always remember one in particular which must have been no higher than 1500ft at around 7 miles out!!! (certainly made a noise!!)
