Since they signed the agreement bmi was always going to be a Lufthansa company. The essentail difference between a strategically run company like Lufthansa and a reactive one like bmi is that you plan for the future and let events fine tune your model rather than develop your model on events.
Once the initial pain of transition occurs, bmi, in whatever from it takes, should hopefully become a more stable place to work with a consistent product provided to customers.
