I turned up to YMML to drop a couple of thing off to some guys working airside. Asked for ID by security ripped out the trusty ASIC and was promptly told that the ASIC was no good to allow me to drive airside! wtf.
I was then informed that to drive airside I had to have a valid drivers licence approriate for the class of vehicle I was driving. So my ASIC is no good for ID and I need to hold a licence to drive airside where you don't actually need a valid licence to drive..
