Hello
If you know that your airline has a travel agreement with the said airlines then you should recieve a heavy discount (possibly stand by tickets) for travel. I'd politely send a line to the relevant department stating your wishes.
Most scheduled operators offer staff (after a certain period of employment) whats called ID90/ID80/ID70 etc, however this will differ from airline to airline. This enables an employee (whether flight or ground crew) to purchase standby tickets with the majority of international scheduled carriers at a rather enjoyable 90%/80%/70% discount. Some carriers may also allow friends and family to travel at the discounted rate.
Whilst being very affordable this method can be somewhat stressful if trying to meet tight travel deadlines as travel is dependant on loads. I've been caught out a few times and have had to wait a few days to get back to the UK.
I think the term Interline refers to such agreements however i'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!
You will also find companies such as Touchdown who offer firm discounts to anyone who can prove they work in aviation.
