From experience, you can only overtake a F50 if you're airborne within 5 to 10 minutes (max) after it takes off from AMS. Otherwise you're stuck behind it with speedcontrol and vectoring from london. It's a 'fun game' trying to overtake.
I've found LCY-AMS to be no problem. It's always the return sector where you get slowed down. I think they must know you're on your way home...
