Anyone starting flight training wether its goodtimes or badtimes needs to ask themselves can they afford the 'aftercare' of flight training.
IT IS NOT THE CASE OF 60K SPENT THEN WALK INTO A JOB
you need to look at whether you can afford any of the following (which could cost in excess of 30K)
- staying current
- hours building
- staying employable
- further training - FI rating?
- self sponsored type rating
- sim assessment prep/practice
- lost earnings while training or waiting in a hold pool
- ability to get a job to cover loan repayments
If you can afford all of that, then u should have no worries.
