This subject was covered on here about 2 years ago, so it may be worth conducting a search...from memory, folk who underwent this procedure generally seemed to recover within 2 weeks.
It sounds like you may be experiencing some "referred" pain, the source being the mouth wound, but the brain confusing the nerve pathways, into believing the ear as the source of irritation.
I'm assuming that you are feeling generally well, (no fever), and that there are no other worrying symptoms (deafness, face palsy).
It may be worth a quick visit to the quack for a look down your ear and at the wound-if only for peace of mind.
I suspect the pain on flying maybe incidental.
