FMS was full
Mission, rather than full Motion, Simulator IIRC. Though it was probably better at the motion than the mission - I cannot recall ever completing a full 5 hours FMS slot, but when you have the computers controlling the two parts made by two different companies back in the 70's ...
And the back end did have motion - of a sort - although I think the only time it ever got used was on the OCU. It was more of a jolt than anything else, but was enough to slop the coffee around (and of course it always jolted just as the 4th Dry appeared at the back door with a tray of coffees).
There used to be a knack to hanging the 11-point dividers on the call light at the Jez 1 position (yes, MR1 days) - if you got it to short out correctly (it was also some sort of direct line intercom to the console staff) the whole thing crashed and everyone trooped off to the crewroom for half an hour while they reprogrammed it.
