Only down side was the trailer dressed up to be a C130J was not very convincing
3 of us from Cranwell got sent to Cosford in 1998 , for a school recruiting day, to man the C130J trailer. The only problem was we were all AEng's!!!
Just checked the big book of all things Comet by Martin Painter, the trailer was originally Comet Mk1 frame number 06009 (BOAC G-ALYW). It transported the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret to Sailisbury, Rhodesia (Harare, Zimbabwe) on 30 Jun 53.
It is the oldest known surviving Comet section.
