Grrr

As I have often said, the boom in travel has been caused by the accessibility of cheap credit to the consumer. Now we are in the 'post Buster predicted era', my guess is that airports, well the smaller ones, might go bust!

Folk cannot borrow and hope that their re-mortgaging based upon inflated house prices will pay for the flat panel TV and copious holidays abroad!

Reality has arrived and the pain it will bring will mean that folk on this forum will lose their jobs and that is awful!

Hopefully, airports will be judged on their customer service and folk on here will not be bleating on about "my airport is bigger than yours"! Well apart from me laughing at the BAA and in particular, Stansted, going belly up! (debt, debt, debt)

Next year will be savage and only the fit airlines and airports will survive.

Now how can I get a $trillion loan to insulate my Bear Palace? Get a mortgage that I can never afford!

No so long ago, Luton shifted 2.5 million passengers. Somewhere over the next two years a sustainable equilibrium between 10m and 2.5 will be reached.
