Word is that HL are in the running with a fair chance at the Esso contract in PNG, so if they get that then those previously let go will probably be begged to return. Anyone with PNG time should be well placed whoever wins the contract as I'm to understand that PNG time will be a requirement for Captains. That will shallow the pool of available pilots (as if it weren't shallow enough already) and hopefully up the pay rates towards current rates in Australia.
