Thomsonfly

The Thomsonfly operation certainly did some good for bhx travellers eventually, as it gave bhx management a big kick up the backside and it helped shake them out of their malaise.

Desperately hanging on to the BA coat-tails whilst Thomsonfly moved into CVT and MOL taunted BHX as he moved some flights to EMA. It was desperate times until baby became established and then FR moved in.

Some of thomsonflys 700000 pax was just down to sheer ineptitude of the local competition but with the 733’s on the way out and eventually the FCA 320’s, was there ever going to be any other outcome. The German based 73W’s would have fitted the bill but that would have meant another UK sub fleet, which I am sure would never have happened.
