Anyone knows how to calculate bank angle so as to get standard rate turn apart from looking at the turn coordinator?
IAS/10 + 7.
eg. 90kts/10 + 7 = 16 degrees.
A reasonable rule of thumb.
Edited (can't remember whether it is IAS or TAS but frankly, it doesn't really matter at low levels/speeds.)
