Airlift - yes, it is interesting how our our point of view and procedures have changed. Prior to Sept 11 the flight crew was cautioned to watch out for "hero passengers" in a hyjacking situation and tell them to stay put.
Now, the PA system is a first level of defense. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have some nasty characters on board who want to hyjack this airplane. We need your help."
Guess we will never know all the passengers on the flight that crashed in PA that attacked the terrorists but they have my highest respect. I hope I would be as brave.
