The show is about the 'celebs' being cabin crew not flight deck. So why would he involve them in his comment. Not as if he had a quick go at flying the aircraft for 1 sector!? Anyway? Have you ever been cabin crew? You don't know what it's like, both jobs are demanding but in different ways.
The 'celebs' were put on board the aircraft as extra crew so it doesn't matter if they fly with 1 celebrity only. The show wouldn't be very entertaining if you were watching the mentors do everything for them!
