but Cathay has definitely NOT a history of laying-off people, when things get financially tough. That should be of some comfort to people who work there.
Laying people off? That's the civilized way to do it. It's the random sackings and then sending a list of the names of the victims to airlines around the globe who are hiring to further destroy their lives that is disturbing!
