You're trying to figure out Airbus reasoning?? What about changing from calling the colours of some of the FMA items to calling them when armed but not when active? Gimme a break.
Write your own SOPs/Calls based on the sensible ones from Airbus (or any other manufacturer) and based on the requirements of your particular operation. They'll serve you far better than something dreamed up in Toulouse or Seattle designed to show up the aircraft in the best possible light. For example, take flaps and slats at limit speeds as is often recommended by both big boys and see what it does to your engineering budget for repairs!
