Regarding BSD's second Sunderland photo I'd have gone for Gan, because I took a similar photo of a Sunderland at Gan in 1958 which has certain similarities. See below.
But given as it's
not Gan I'll guess BSD's second Sunderland was at Male, capital of the Maldives.
