Who really cares??
The guy arriving overhead and finding the field abandoned, that's who.
If a private facility wants to close, that's their business, but publicly owned facility is there to serve the public. Are we talking about a private or public facility? Fifty years ago I heard about fields in Europe and Africa which turned off the lights to save money. Surely we're beyond that now.
