Did anyone fly in?
That used to be the go for those with the means to do it - an easy 10-15 min jaunt from YBAF.
I recall (from times gone by) a continuous stream of lighties from Archerfield to Amberley in the hours leading up to the show and again at the conclusion. After the show, while others battled traffic on the ground, we would be enjoying the first of several coldies in the RQAC bar.
Flying in was not without the occassional frustration however. I recall the following exchange one year, after a big deal was made of the fact that lighties would be cleared to depart in the order of their arrival - and it didnt happen.
