It's always worth giving them a call. However, seeing as they have people with letters of intent from before April and revised recruitment figures due out this week that will definitely see a reduction in course numbers for the coming months, I don't know if I would hold my breath for a start date this side of the next 6-9 months. I would base my decision on the bonding period/cost of joining the regional and be calling them asking for a delayed start date to wait for the decision from Qf, IF that's more important to you than the start with the regional.

Calling QF recruitment a year ago and bargaining against a start date with another airline (especially Cathay, Virgin and Tiger) definitely made a difference. These days I'm not so sure they would jump to get you to their side of the field. The balance of supply vs. demand due to the backlog in training that existed a couple of months ago and the reduction in course numbers has seen the scales tip the other way a bit.
