Thought I would take my first look at London City Airport yesterday. I travelled on the 10.07 East Midlands service from Luton Airport Parkway arriving at St Pancras at 10.30, a mere 23 minute journey.
It was then a short hop on the Northern Line to The Bank. I then discovered that part of the Docklands Light Railway was closed with a replacement bus service being used before catching the DLR further down the route. Total travel time from St Pancras to City Airport 92 minutes.
For me City Airport might be OK for Canny Wharf but for Central London I think Luton wins by a mile.
