I remember the exec jet taking out the approach lights. It must have been late 80s. It was a Saudi registered Falcon 20, the ILS was out and it was doing a 2 mile SRA, which I did!
I got a strangled cry of going around and diverting to Heathrow, where it landed with no nose cone!
