I remember travelling on a BA flight out of San Franciso in upper deck economy (*B747-200 G-XXXX "City of Peterborough"*) Parents were in club and too tight to pay for me to go in club also. The Flight attendant took pity on me (only 12-13) at the time, and she shared her McVities chocolate biscuits with me.
I also seem to remember, maybe incorrectly that only a curtain seperated the upperdeck from the flightdeck. How times have changed
