A friend at AF mentionned the same numbers as the one posted above.
And it is before tax, but he mentioned basic salary is lower, round 6000 euros for 65 hours but as they were short of crews everyone was flying more, hence the higher numbers.
However AF only pays 2500 euros a month during your training and line intro.
As for the tax, their unions have negociated some agreement with the french government. My mate is married two kids and only paid (according to his statement) 3000 euros for last year. He-s not from Marseille
This should however change soon with Mr Sarkozy at the controlls (my mate said).
And indeed, refusing the AF-KLM deal from the AZ union is the craziest thing they did !
