You cannot compare salaries from an airline which never made money the last years, with a major with hundreds of planes in their fleet, firmly established routes, big home market, embedded in a big alliance, making profits every year aso.
You have to compare it with an airline like SAS, AUA or the like, who are smaller majors and have also to struggle to survive.
It's not the unions who can decide how much you get, it's the market that is able to give you the money. Otherwise you get into trouble with the market - and the market is always stronger, even stronger than Berlusconi...
