Not to mention checking for traffic on the road up to the Gorge itself. Many a time I've rolled onto final to watch a britz troopie hooking up the road at warp speed straight past the 'stop/slow down and check for aircraft' sign. Even had a AAT Kings coach park on the threshold once while waiting for our arrival...
