About Deer Air:
Deer Air Co. Ltd (Deer Air) headquarters are based at Beijing Capital Airport. They are the third airline
after Air China and Hainan Airlines Group to have their operational headquarters here.
Officially launched in November 2006, Deer Air is the only corporate and leisure charter flight operator
in China and is the only Asian member of IACA.
Since December 2007 Deer Air has been operating 12 x A319 aircraft, its network covering 40
domestic and international cities.
Deer Air plans to introduce a further 20 x Airbus series aircraft to its fleet in the next few years.
About Xian:
Xian is the capital of Shaanxi province and it is the most important city in northwest China.
The cultural and historical significance of Xian, as well as the abundant relics and sites, help Shaanxi
enjoy the laudatory title of 'Natural History Museum'. Along with Athens, Cairo and Rome it is one of
the four major ancient civilization capitals. The Museum of Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses is praised
as 'the eighth major miracle of the world'. The natural landscape around Xian includes Mt.Huashan
one of best-known mountains in China, is famous for its breath-taking cliffs and its unique
characteristics.

Rishworth Aviation has a dedicated team based in China who are able to assist you during the
Screening process and in settling in to working and living in China. We are also there to facilitate
communications with the Airline, and ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible for you during
your time on contract with us.

Base:
Xian, China.
Contract Term:
2 years renewable. You will receive a US$24,000 bonus on completion of 2 years of service
Minimum Qualifications /Hours:
Total Time: 4000+ hrs
PIC on type (A319/320/321): 500+ hrs
Currency on type (A319/320/321): Within last 6 months
Age: Under 53 years at date of joining
Valid/current ICAO ATPL from country that has diplomatic relations with China
Valid/current A319/320/321 Command type rating
Valid/current Class 1 Medical
No history of incidents or accidents
Passport from country that has diplomatic relations with China
Start Date:
As soon as possible, ideally from June 08 onwards.
Duty Pattern/Days Off:
14 consecutive days every 6 weeks.
Annual Leave:
Nil due to duty pattern/days off above.
Sick Leave:
12 paid days per year
Duty Ground Transportation:
The airline will provide ground transport between hotel/accommodation and airport at Base and when
on duty away from Base.
Travel:
Firm economy class air tickets will be provided by the airline at commencement and termination of
assignment.
***The airline will reimburse for air tickets/travel costs for you and/or immediate family members of up
to US$5,000 every 6 months of service, applicable after completing 6 months on assignment.
Reimbursement is subject to providing receipts.
The airline will provide to you and/or immediate family members unlimited access on seat available
basis on its own network according to the airline’s policies.
Accommodation:
Accommodation provided by the airline during initial 4 week training period – see below.
Thereafter pilot is responsible for his own accommodation.
Accommodation provided by the airline during layovers away from Base.
Overtime:
Payable after 80 hours at 1/80th of the Salary amount.
Taxation:
All payments to you are net of income tax in China.
Insurance:
Expatriate Medical & Repatriation insurance will be provided.
Application / Interview Process:
Screenings and start dates are subject to candidates availability with anticipation of delivery of further
5 aircrafts arriving from June to December 08.

The airline will pay for costs of Screening, including economy air tickets, accommodation, and ground
transport.
Screening will require you to go to Beijing and will take approximately 7 days (plus flights to & from
Beijing). It will include:
1. Sim
2. Medical
3. Review with airline - which will include sighting all originals of documents provided
Start of Contract – Exam/Training :
Training and Exams will be completed in Beijing, before you go to Xian. In addition to ground and flight
training in Beijing you will be required to sit:
1. ATPL/Chinese Theory Exam
2. English Exam(Note: If you already hold the ICAO Level 4 English Certificate/Test Result, please provide a copy of this to
us, as this may prevent the need to sit the English exam in China).
Study material and tutoring will be provided to you.
The ground and flight training is anticipated to take 1 week, followed by a ground training test and
flight training examination, and then route flight under supervision for 1 week, then a line check/airline
approval before being a fully operational Captain.
During the exam and training period until you are checked to line/airline approved the airline will
provide you with accommodation and 80% of salary above. This period will be for a maximum of 4
weeks, subject to successfully having passed the exams. For more details please discuss with us.

- Licence showing A320 type rating
- Valid Medical
- Last Sim Check report on A320
- Last 2 pages of logbook showing date of last flight on A320
- Passport
