Aig-berkshire

hello Gato,

Berkshire or GE will buy ILFC but they will have to cut a cheque fast.

As you know better than me ILFC is profitable,AIG has the problem
Can AIG survive ?

What a desastre on the markets, today. 500 f-ing points lost worst since 9-11

It appears as if it will get worse befor getting better.
Is the spiral getting out of control ?

There will be some great buying opportunities.

Estoy bebiendo vino para intentar olvidar.

The only good news is with the recession the price of oil is going down, see below.

The cash rich arabs will be able to buy a lot of things cheap.

"Another potential buyer could be Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRKA, BRKB), said Haines at Credit Sights. An industry publication, the Insurance Insider, reported that Berkshire chief Warren Buffett was in discussions to help bail out AIG.
Both GE and Berkshire Hathaway declined comment on the possibility of a bid for ILFC"

For AIG, "the real issue is who can write a check quickly," said Roger King, an airlines analyst with CreditSights Inc

And there were signs of widening macroeconomic shockwaves that could see a worsening of the credit crunch that has already threatened to worsen the housing downturn at the root of Wall Street's troubles."

"Capital markets have been quite difficult, and this is just going to make it more so," General Motors Corp (GM) President and Chief Operating Officer Fritz Henderson told the Reuters Autos Summit in Detroit"

"I think oil is caught in a paper bear trap at present, which is continuing to force the price down, despite supply disruptions and general uneasiness in the geopolitical picture," said Neal Ryan, a managing partner at Ryan Oil & Gas Partners"
