I'd suggest that your question about minimums would be one to ask any prospective TRTO. To my mind, if they have trained you to fly the type, they should be happy to let you SFH that machine from the moment you get the endorsement on your licence. Shop around and go with whoever is the most sensible.
Let's be honest, for a piston pilot converting into turbines, the biggest issue is the start procedure. If they taught you properly, why should there be any resistance to letting you loose on your own, other than to fleece you for more cash?
The only question is currency.
AFAIK, no schools will let you SFH their machines without a check ride if you haven't flown that type in the last 28 days.
