XL / Travelcity Direct
I really feel for all the staff and hope they get new employment. I have been there twice with Ground handling.
I have flown with Travelcity Direct for the last 5 years and was due to go again next year, staff were always friendly and I enjoyed flying with them.
Although staff within Xl / Travelcity Direct are effected it goes all the way down the chain. Sanford will be a ghost town, 10 flights a week is a lot of custom to loose and each flight I have been on has been full.
There is the staff at Travelcitydirect in Florida, baggage handlers, cleaners, caterers and Dollar rent a car. This will cause a big impact on employment in Florida, as well as the UK and all European bases that XL.com flew to.
