Does anybody know the name of the company that extracted gravel from the field at that time?
The Ham River Gravel Company - I remember their unusual half cab AEC tip trucks being a common sight in the area. I think they were bought out by another company somewhere around 1960 -
something Sand and Gravel rings a bell.
